REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing and is based on the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flows through us and is what causes us to come alive. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement .It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology, also called zone therapy, is based on the notion that each body part is represented on the hands and feet and that pressing on specific areas on the hands or feet can have therapeutic effects in other parts of the body. A complimentary therapy, tensions are eased, circulation is improved, energy paths are unblocked enabling the body to heal itself.

Duration: 30 minutes / 1 hour

 

CELLULITE MASSAGE

The Cellulite Massage is a specialized massage concentrating mainly on the areas where cellulite, or ‘orange peel’ skin exists. Using specific essential oils, the aim of this massage is to boost the blood and lymph circulation throughout the body which in turn will aid in the elimination  of toxic waste and therefore improve the appearance of the skin . The essential oils will penetrate into the skin with the help of deep effleurage and petrissage movements to activate metabolism in the underlying tissues burning away the excessive fat deposits in the adipocytes.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

Lymphatic drainage is a delicate form of massage that stimulates the body’s lymphatic system, improving the metabolism, helping the body to eliminate waste and toxins and providing an overall boost. The Lymphatic system is responsible for helping  in the excretion of  toxic fluid and waste in the body. When the Lymphatic System becomes blocked, fluids build up and stagnates, causing the entire system to become toxic, making us feel sluggish and more susceptible to viral or contagious diseases.

Lymphatic drainage utilizes very light pressure combined with soft, pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes. This type of massage is beneficial to most people, however there are some that may be contra-indicated therefore consult  with  your massage therapist beforehand.

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

Aromatherapy uses the purest plant essences in the form of organic essential oils, which are extracts from various parts of plants, fruits, flowers, bark, roots, or resin. Essential oils contain dozens of powerful complex natural chemicals that have beneficial and healing properties. Due to the diversity of essential oils and their individual therapeutic properties, the benefits and effects of Aromatherapy is wide ranging.

Aromatherapy treatments have both physiological and psychological effects. The combination of massage and the medicinal and therapeutic qualities of the essential oils (molecules both inhaled [aroma] and absorbed through the skin) can soothe, revitalize, uplift the spirit, encourage positive thinking and boost the immune system enabling the body to heal itself.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish Massage is a bodywork specifically designed to relax muscles. By applying deep pressure to muscles, by rubbing concurrently with the circulation towards the heart,  Swedish massage purposefully  enhances oxygen flow in the blood and helps in the elimination of toxins in the muscles. It shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing away lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic waste from the tissues. It also helps stretch the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable.

The Swedish Massage is a beneficial treatment to everyone, as it helps to reduce stress, both emotional and physical.

THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE

Deep-tissue massage, or therapeutic massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue  structures of the  muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. It uses many of the same movements  and techniques as the Swedish Massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more localized type of massage as the therapist will focus more on your concerned areas to release chronic muscle tension and knots.
